Head Chef and co-owner Phil Marchant seeks not just to create plates and an experience that warrants a repeat visit, but ones that showcase the work of farmers, hunters and providores he has long collaborated with. We have a full vegetarian option for the set menu or we have vegetarian alternatives for a lot of our dishes, for example we hold a vegetarian version of our pasta available all the time. The below is a sample menu and subject to change.

THE WINE

The wine list at Essa is an eclectic read. Our wine list celebrates the unique expression of terroir by featuring cuvees that showcase the distinct characteristics of their origins. Each producer is thoughtfully curated to highlight the interplay between the vineyard's environment, soil, and climate, allowing the true essence of the land to shine through.

The list exclusively showcases biodynamic and organic viticulture, ensuring that the wines available are produced with respect for nature and sustainability. By choosing wines from producers dedicated to these practices, we offer a selection that not only tastes really good and suits the food but also supports ecological harmony and biodiversity in the vineyards.
